Kathleen Ann “Kathy” (Cregger) Filan

March 18, 1954 – February 5, 2026

Kathleen Ann (Cregger) Filan, lovingly known as Kathy, Mom, Mama K, and most proudly “Nana,” passed away on Thurs. February 5, 2026, at the age of 71. Kathy’s life was defined by her warmth, resilience, and the way she made everyone feel like family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Bernice Cregger; her beloved husband, William Filan; her sister, Marlene Cregger Payne and her cherished grandson, Makai Wilkinson. She is survived by her sister, Margaret Waters, as well as her children and grandchildren, and the many others who were blessed to call her Mom.

Kathy was a woman of  strong Faith in God. She had many talents and strong work ethic. Over the years she built skills in cosmetology, culinary service, and commercial transportation. No matter the job, she brought dedication and heart. But of all her roles, the one she treasured most was being “Nana.” She had a special gift for caring for others, offering comfort, wisdom, and unconditional love. Kathy truly was “Mom” to many, and her home and heart were always open.

Family and friends are invited to gather at Path of Life Camp, 112 Path of Life Rd, Port Crane, NY 13833, on Sat. February 28, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, with a brief service and Celebration of Life to follow, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
